Fall in love with taking care of yourself, mind, body & spirit

Yoga retreat in spain
A yoga retreat in Spain is on many peoples list for 2022 and it’s important you chose the right yoga retreat for your needs. At The Palms we make sure you have an amazing experience from start to finish! We take care of every aspect of your retreat: fabulous food, a variation of yoga styles, meditation & sound healing to the daily wash of your yoga clothes!

If you’re a seasoned ‘retreater’ or new to retreat breaks you probably have a whole lot of questions, so here we’ve answered your top questions:

1. I’m new to yoga and meditation, is this retreat suitable?

Definitely! If you’re new to yoga going on a retreat is one of the best things you can do as you will immerse yourself for 6 or 7 days without the distractions of normal life. You will also get try different styles so you can decide which practice to continue with on your return.

Our classes are suitable for all levels of practitioner and our teaching style is focused on technique and ‘how it feels’ as opposed to a fast pace. The morning practise tends to be more physical and we just love to indulge in yin & meditation on the yoga shala in the late afternoons

2. I'm not a vegan and I’m concerned about the food?

All meals served at The Palms are vegan/vegetarian, fresh local eggs and cheese are an option at breakfast.

We pride ourselves in high quality vegan food and giving ‘non veggies’ a really positive experience. Our ingredients are locally sourced where possible and your meals are freshly prepared each day by our chef. We can cater for any food allergies or intolerances.

Our previous retreaters have commented that they were so surprised at how tasty, filling and enjoyable the food was and they will start to explore eating more vegan food at home.

3. Is alcohol available on our retreat?

Yes it is! We believe that everything in moderation is a good approach to health and happiness.

We don’t include alcohol but we have a fully stocked bar so you can have a glass of wine with dinner or a gin and tonic whilst relaxing in the bar.

Alcohol is not encouraged for those who wish to have a more detoxing experience

4. What if I want to have a lie in or a relaxing day by the pool?

No problem, this is your holiday! We schedule 2 or 3 classes/ workshops a day of different styles but everything is totally optional.

So if you wake up and decide you need a rest no-one will come knocking on your door. Our relaxing pool area is perfect for soaking up vitamin D

Part of your yoga journey is knowing when to do more and when to rest!

Don’t take our word for it, here is a review from a previous retreat guest:

“Just returned from a fabulous four nights at The Palms. The owners and staff were super friendly and so welcoming – nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, and the bed was marvelously comfy. The pool, grounds and exercise areas were true havens of tranquility – well laid out and full of little touches that made it feel extra special. For me, however, the real highlight was the food. I am a keen home cook, with healthy meals made from fresh, seasonal ingredients being my absolute favourite. The food at The Palms was the best I’ve ever tasted!”
